How to Install Active X Cab
- 1). Find the .cab files you wish to install on your hard drive. Hit the "Start" button and click on "Search." Click on "All Files and Folders." Type in the name of the .cab file you are looking for. Click on "Search." Note the file path of its location so that you can open it later.
- 2). Click on the "Start" button and hit "Run." Enter "misconfig" in the box and click on "OK." Click "Expand File." The "File to Restore" field will populate; click on "Browse." Locate your .cab file. Select the file and click "Open."
- 3). Hit "Browse File" next to the "Save File in" box. Click "Desktop" and then click on "New Folder." Name your folder. Click "OK." Hit the "Expand" tab. This will place the .cab file you have opened into your folder.
- 4). Open your folder by double-clicking it. Look for the file with the ".exe" extension or named "setup.exe." Click on this to start the install utility. Follow the set up requests to install your ActiveX .cab. Click on "Finish" once done.
