  The Honda Accord was originally introduced in 1976 and has maintained a solid reputation for being a safe, economical and reliable vehicle. It has numerous times been recognized as the most popular car of its class for the year. The 2000 Accord offers several trim styles, with the EX being upgraded from the more basic DX and LX styles. Within the EX category are the EX coupe and sedan, as well as the EX V6 coupe and sedan.
  
  

Engine

• The EX coupe, EX coupe with leather interior, EX sedan and EX sedan with leather interior feature a 2.3-liter engine and 150 horsepower, whereas the EX V6 coupe and EX V6 sedan have a 3.0-liter engine and 200 horsepower.

• A five-speed manual overdrive transmission is standard on the EX coupe, EX coupe with leather, EX sedan and EX sedan with leather. The car buyer can upgrade to a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission on any of these models. For the EX V6 coupe and sedan, a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission is standard.

• All 2000 EX coupes and sedans seat five passengers. The coupes have two doors, and the sedans have four doors. Many interior features are standard on all 2000 Honda Accord EX coupe and sedan models. These include cruise control, tilt steering wheel, intermittent windshield wipers, tachometer, reading lights, sunroof, air conditioning, power windows and power door locks. The EX coupe with leather, V6 coupe, sedan with leather and V6 sedan have power leather seats. All coupes and sedans have a six-speaker sound system with radio and CD player, but do not have a cassette player or navigation system.
