• A home theater system combines electronic products such as DVD and CD players to create a complete entertainment center. Most theater systems are connected to large screen HD televisions for cinematic effect. The JVC TH-D60 is specifically designed to work with rear projection and flat panel televisions. Theater System Dimensions

• The main unit weighs 15 pounds and measures 17.1 by 10.6 by 4.5 inches. Dimensions for the 18-pound subwoofer are 13.9 by 9.8 by 13.8 inches. The right and left-front/back channel speakers are 3.9 by 3.7 by 8.5 inches. Front channel speakers weigh 5.3 pounds while back channel speakers weigh 1.9 pounds. The center channel speaker is 17.1 by 3.7 by 3.9 inches and weighs 4.4 pounds.
  
  

Audio

• The audio system components include speakers, DVD player, AV receiver and digital player. It features an iPod docking station, USB host function, AM/FM radio tuner, 5.1 channel surround sound and XM satellite radio compatibility. A digital sound processor and Dolby Digital and DTS decoders are built into the system. Total output power is 1200 watts.
  
  

Speakers

• The system comes with one 2000 Hz-3 Ohm external wired subwoofer. Also included are four wired channel speakers, which are 2000 Hz-3 Ohm per pair, and one center channel speaker at 2000 Hz. Drivers include one 200 mm subwoofer driver, one 30 mm tweeter driver and two 80 mm full range drivers.
  
  

DVD

• The JVC TH supports a variety of disc types, including CD, DVD, CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. Supported digital audio formats are MP3, PCM, WAV and WMA. Supported digital video formats are DivX, MPEG-1 and 4 and DivX Ultra. The DVD player features a 12-bit 108 MHz video D/A converter, a 24-bit 192 kHz audio D/A converter and JPEG photo playback. Connectors

• At the rear of the system are one audio line in, one SPDIF input, one composite video input, one each S-video input and output, a component video output, an HDMI output and a 2.0 USB port. The front connectors include an iPod dock, headphone connector and SPDIF input.
