How to Glue a Spindle to a Railing

    • 1). Measure the circumference of the thickest part of the spindle. Drill a hole into the bottom of your hand railing, making it the same size as the circumference of your spindle. This is for wood railings.

    • 2). Put wood glue on the part of the spindle that will go on the railing if it is wood. Use epoxy glue or crazy glue if you are gluing metals. Make sure the metal pieces are thoroughly cleaned.

    • 3). Slide your spindle inside the wood hole that you just drilled. Put more glue on it if necessary and slide it in again. Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours before using the railing. Put glue under your spindle if it is metal. Wipe off any excess glue. Let it dry for 24 hours before you use the railing.
