How to Make Bouquet Bows From Tissue
- 1). Place a sheet of tissue paper on a flat work surface. Use the ruler to measure a square that is 8 inches long and 8 inches wide. Mark these measurements on the tissue paper using a pencil.
- 2). Cut out one square of tissue paper per bow you wish to make. Use a variety of colors of paper to complement the shades of the flowers in the bouquet.
- 3). Fold each sheet of tissue paper as if it were a fan, creating small pleats.
- 4). Cut a 6-inch piece of thin curling ribbon designed for wrapping packages. Once you have pleated the entire sheet, tie the ribbon around the center.
- 5). Tie a tight double knot so the ribbon makes a divot in the pleats, dividing the folded tissue in half. Allow 3 inches of ribbon to hang down on either side of the knot. These are the dangling ends of the bow.
- 6). Pull on the edges of each side of the pleated tissue paper. This will create a fanned shape on either side of the knot that cinches the center. The fanned tissue paper will resemble the two looped portions of a bow.
- 7). Tie ribbon around each bouquet. Tie the tissue bow to the ribbon holding the bouquet together by adding another loop of ribbon around the central knot of the bow.
