Karma of Life
KARMA
We all know what Karma is. We all understand what Karma means. Karma is our actions and if we do good deeds our Karma will be good and if we do bad deeds our Karma will be bad.
But is there anything more to Karma and any way we can define Karma more elaborately? Is Karma just our actions and nothing else? Is Karma only about what we sow is what we reap? Lets take a look at the deeper meaning of Karma and our relationship with it in the modern world.
Let us first take a look at the theory of Perception equals Projection. It means that the universe is what you think it is. You perceive the universe with your own minds and your experiences in the universe are based upon your perceptions of the beliefs you hold within yourselves.
Your beliefs, along with other factors, filter the information flowing into your mind based on your past experiences and social conditioning and make you perceive the physical reality of the world the way you want to believe it is rather than the way it really is. Thus the information flowing into your mind goes through a process of generalisation, deletion and distortion all the time.
The critical faculty, the questioning ability of the mind, filters the reality in terms of language used, your memories, experiences, decisions, values, beliefs and attitude, then forms the reality of your Physical universe accordingly. Thus one persons experience in the universe is completely based upon their internal representations of life itself.
We all have individual experiences. Two people going through the same experience can have different perceptions about the events - one can think of it as a positive experience while the other as a negative one. It is similar to thinking about whether a glass is half full or half empty.
So we project onto the world outside of us our deep unconscious resolved and unresolved issues of life, along with what we want and don't want, and we get back from the world what we projected in the first place.
Taking responsibility for our life makes us feel empowered and blaming the outside world for our negativity or what we don't like make us feel disempowered and at a loss. So we are constantly interacting with the universe with our minds, and with the reality of the world that we hold to be true in our minds.
Karma at the deepest level is this relationship we have with ourselves and the universe. Our Karma is the reaction of the action of how we actually perceive the world outside of us in reference to the world deep within us. If there is a conflict or people fighting in the outside world and it affects us, we must look within our minds to figure out the parts of our mind within us which is causing those conflicts outside of us in the first place.
Our emotional body is magnetic in nature and it attracts to itself situations and events in our lives which reflect the unresolved 'stuff' within us. We need to clear it off and learn the lessons in order to grow and evolve to become better human beings. The more we learn, the more our sub-conscious mind grows and lets go off mentalities such as "Why do bad things always happens to me?" and helps us take responsibility for our inner world, which is the foundation of our true being.
Our lessons need to be positive, otherwise the same event will repeat in our lives until we learn what we need to learn in order to grow. Our journey of life is about going deeper into ourselves and developing a beautiful relationship with our inner world first rather than the outer world.
