Pine Cone Snowman Craft
Follow these instructions and you can make a snowman out of a pine cone.
- Age Guideline: 5 Years and Up
- Time Required: 20 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Pine Cone
- Paint
- Twigs
- Pom-poms
- Chenille Stems
- Ribbon
- Beads or Wiggle Eyes
Instructions:
Paint the pine cone white. This will be your snowman's body. Glue a white pom-pom onto the pointy top of the pine cone for your snowman's head. Find two tiny twigs and glue them in place for the snowman's arms.
I made my snowman's face using an orange pipe cleaner as the nose, seed beads to form the mouth, and slightly larger beads for the eyes. Use whatever supplies you want to make your snowman's facial features.
For the hat, I trimmed one edge of the red pom-pom and glued it on. I made a ball on the red hat with a small, green pom-pom. I wrapped about a 6-inch piece of ribbon around the neck to look like a scarf.
Get creative and make a variety of snowmen for winter decorating. They also make neat Christmas tree decorations and gifts!
