- Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
- Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- 4" Tall Terra Cotta Clay Pot
- 5" Terra Cotta Clay Pot Saucer
- Flat Decorative Marbles
- Paint
- Clear Acrylic Spray
- Paint Brush
Instructions:
Paint the clay pot and saucer whatever color you like and then paint on simple shapes or designs using contrasting colors of paint. Let the paint dry.
Once the paint is dry, spray them with a few thin layers of clear acrylic sealer. Spray the sealer in a well ventilated room with a covered work surface or, better yet, outside. Let the spray dry.
Place the clay pot and saucer on your bathroom counter and fill them almost full of the flat decorative marbles, one handful at a time (do not pour as they may break). Place your toothbrushes into the pot by pushing the handle end down into the flat decorative marbles, and place your soap on top of the marbles. This helps keep the soap from sitting in water and getting 'soggy'.
