The Lord Has Proclaimed A New Season
I heard the Lord say, "I am come to bring you out of the old season of famine and drought and bring you into a new season of blessing and prosperity.
I am come to destroy the enemies that have kept you from possessing the promises I have given you.
The time of famine was necessary to drive out of you the false ideas of prosperity and blessing that you have gained from those who taught that 'gain is godliness.
' You have learned your lesson well, and I can now show you the true riches of the kingdom.
For I know you will not use them for selfish and self-seeking purposes.
I will once again restore the power of my gifts to the Church for I know she will walk in humility as they flow through her and her only desire will be to see the glory of my Son.
I am sending the builders to terrify and cast out the spirits of pride, self-seeking, haughtiness, and selfishness.
I will replace them with humility, sacrifice, joy, and gladness.
No more will your enemies triumph over you so that you cannot lift up your head.
Many will see my blessings upon you and will ask you to lead them to the source of those blessings.
To the degree that you give me glory and honor is the degree that you will defeat the enemies that have kept my Church in bondage these many years.
Dear one, lift up your head and rejoice the season has changed and I am come to show myself strong on your behalf.
It will be through a fresh understanding of my grace that I will accomplish and bring to pass this new season of blessing and victory over your enemies.
Therefore pursue My grace! Yet, remember grace that is received but not given will not grow or abide.
Grace like love can only grow to the degree that we give grace to others.
" When I heard this prophetic word spoken to my spirit, I was immediately led to the book of Zechariah.
It was in those pages that I once again saw the pattern of restoration so clearly displayed.
Many who hear a prophetic word just assume that the word will automatically come to pass.
When in fact that is very rarely the case.
No, there is a great deal that we are called upon to do when a prophetic word is delivered unto us.
Even as the promises given in the book of Zechariah were proclaimed, there was a requirement given as well.
Zech 8:15-17 15 So again in these days I am determined to do good To Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.
Do not fear.
16 These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace; 17 Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath.
For all these are things that I hate,' Says the Lord.
" NKJV(emphasis mine) Concerning truth, the Lord once spoke these words to me, "Truth that is not spoken in love is only a half truth, no matter how accurate the facts.
For my Son is the truth and He is love.
" One of the great characteristics of the love of God is that of "long suffering.
" It is the willingness to be forbearing and patient with one another, even as the Lord has been with us.
In other words to walk in these promises we must not allow any form of "offense" to hide in our hearts.
This will not be easy since the scriptures state that one of the great problems of the last days will be that of offense.
Matt 24:10 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
KJV To betray one another may simply be, to say something about a brother that has accurate facts but is not spoken in love.
Love is kind and will speak kindly even about those who have hurt us the most.
Love hopes all things, believes all things (the good that God has placed within each of us), and never fails or gives up on anyone.
Betrayal, not repented of, will lead to hate.
How do we know if we have betrayed someone? Is there bitterness growing in our hearts? If so, then we have already betrayed our brother or sister even if we have not spoken anything against them, for bitterness begins in the heart.
I tell you this there is no offense worth missing out on the coming season of blessing.
It is now time not only to repent of betrayal but we must return to a genuine love for those who have wounded us the most.
Perhaps no one has faced the spirit of betrayal more than young David when Saul, his King, turned so bitterly and violently against him.
David lost his home, his job, and almost all of his friends as a result of Saul's cruel betrayal of him.
Yet, when a soldier brought the news of King Saul's death to David he thought David would be happy and reward him when he told of the death of the one who had treated him with such vile cruelty.
He was wrong! Look what David said and did to this one who talked against his king: 2 Sam 1:11-14 11 Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him: 12 And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the Lord, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.
13 And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the Lord's anointed? 15 And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him.
And he smote him that he died.
When the Lord commanded me to prophesy that the season of famine was over, He did so with this caveat.
"Tell them this only applies to the remnant - the ones who heeded my discipline and have chosen humility and love, who have repented from self-seeking and pride, who walk in continual forgiveness and have an absence of malice toward those who have offended them.
The Remnant!"
