How to Kill a Scrub Oak
- 1). Cut the scrub oak down to a stump close to the ground between November and March.
- 2). Put on gloves. Mix about half a pint of stump remover with water, one part stump remover to nine parts water. Mix the solution thoroughly.
- 3). Paint the mixture over the cut face of the stump with a paint brush. Make sure you saturate the whole area, taking care to get the edges and the bark.
- 4). Wash any vegetation which you accidentally spill the stump remover on with plenty of fresh water. Wash the container and paint brush with plenty of water and dilute the water you have used to rinse them with with further fresh water.
