Several States Wish to Secede

Many states are talking about seceding from the United States, and whereas, this most likely will not happen, it sure gives the politicians and people a little sound and fury.
Many people thinking on this topic say; "What a crazy world we live in.
" and many behind the political push of secession say what is crazy it allowing the Federal Government to become so big and onerous that they tell us what to eat, what to do, how to act, what to teach, what to say, what to mine, how much to pay, and so on.
It could get a lot crazier if states actually get together to go through the process of secession.
People in a lot of these states do not wish to pay for people who will not get off their butts and work in other states.
They reject being told what to do by a Federal Government that lies to them, over taxes them, fails to protect them, tells them what to do, what services to provide, what to teach their children, "on and on," they say.
Talk of secession, well it's the same thing in franchising, only in this case the franchisor (Federal Government) has indeed defaulted on the contract, changed the rules, and failed to provide as promised, not the states (or franchisees).
At least from a philosophical standpoint, that's the argument.
It's pretty simple really, Lincoln understood why it's so important to protect the union, but some say that this administration is too busy trying to turn the people against the states and dividing the country by rich and poor, black and white, liberal-socialist and conservative, gay and straight, that they are causing the problem.
Yes, again, this is all just philosophical, things usually work themselves out, and the executive branch moves on every 4-8 years anyway.
It's all sound and fury, chest pumped testosterone and politics.
That's my take on it.
What say you; think on it.
