Charge Earth Orb

• Using an unpowered orb, players can cast the Charge Earth Orb spell on the earth obelisk to charge the orb using the Magic skill. To cast the spell, you must have Level 60 Magic, 30 earth runes and three cosmic runes. If you charge more than one orb, you must have the required runes for each orb in your inventory. You can eliminate the earth runes by wielding a staff of earth or earth battlestaff, which provides unlimited earth runes when casting spells.
  
  

Earth Orb

• Crafting earth battlestaves is a reliable method to train the Crafting skill. To craft an earth battlestaff, you must have Level 58 Crafting and an earth orb and battlestaff in your inventory. Crafting battlestaves earns 112.5 Crafting experience. Generally, you can obtain earth orbs only by using an uncharged orb on the earth obelisk or purchasing the item from another player, but elite dark mages also drop earth orbs.
  
  

The Earth Obelisk

• The earth obelisk is located in the dangerous section of the Edgeville dungeon. The northern portion of the Edgeville dungeon is located in the wilderness, and after the restoration of the wilderness on February 1, 2011, the wilderness became a player-versus-player combat zone. If another player attacks you while traveling to the earth obelisk and you die, you will lose all of the items equipped on your character and in your inventory.
  
  

Getting There

• To get to the earth obelisk, you must travel to Edgeville and walk south to the trapdoor in the southeastern corner of the city. Walk north, and then take the east gate. Walk east, and then enter the north gate. Upon entering this gate, you enter the wilderness and receive a warning notice on your screen. Run northwest, past the chaos druids and the skeletons, and open the north gate. Walk northwest and climb the ladder on the north wall. You will arrive at the earth obelisk.
