What is meaning of Islam? Islam is an Arabic word, which means submission and is derived from a word signifying peace.
Within a religious perspective this means full submission to God's will.
The name of the Arabic God is Allah and this is used by the Arab Muslims as well as Christian believers.
To some people, Islam might seem unusual or even extreme throughout the modern society.
This could be mainly because religion doesn't control everyday life throughout the West nowadays, whilst Muslims always have religion in their minds and will make no division amongst sacred and secular.
These people believe that the Sharis, which is the Divine Law, must be taken seriously and that's why matters associated with religion continue to be very important.
How can an individual become a Muslim? Just by declaring these words "there is no god aside from God, Muhammad is a Messenger of God.
" As a result of this affirmation, the believer will announce his/her belief in all the messengers of God in addition to the scriptures that they deliver.
What is a Ka'ba? This is a place of worship where God commanded Ishmael and Abraham to build more than four thousand years ago.
This building had been constructed with stone on what most believe to be the original location of a sanctuary that was created by Adam.
Abraham was commanded by God to summon all humans to go to this place and whenever pilgrims visit this spot nowadays they would repeat the response that Abraham made to this summon.
