How to Make a Shrinky Dink Turkey
- 1). Purchase some Shrinky Dink sheets from a craft store such as Michael's or A.C. Moore. You can also order them from the original makers of Shrinky Dink. (The website is linked at the bottom of this article.)
- 2). Take one sheet out of the package and lay it rough side up. You will only draw on the rough side.
- 3). Use a brown pencil crayon to draw a large outline of a turkey. Make the turkey larger than you want it to turn out ultimately.
- 4). Color your turkey in with your pencil crayons. Don't forget the yellow feet or the red whittle. You can even draw a talking bubble and write the words "gobble, gobble" inside.
- 5). Cut out the turkey with scissors. Leave a clear space all the way around to allow for shrinkage.
- 6). Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
- 7). Set your turkey on a cookie sheet, rough side up. Place the cookie sheet in the oven for no more than 60 seconds. Remove.
- 8). Give your turkey 20 to 30 minutes to cool before using.
