Marriage counseling has helped many couples around the world save their marriages in countless situations. Other couples claim to have spent thousands of dollars on counseling with no real or lasting results. The marriages ended in divorce any way. There are some who believe that not all marriages are worth saving. Cheating is something that has a high price in most marriages. Some marriages pay the ultimate price over cheating. There are all kinds of small and not-so-small things your spouse does that makes your life better. Plumbing repairs, picture hanging, dry cleaning errands, cooking, cleaning, making lunches, pressing clothes, and the list goes on. It's time to let your spouse see how much you do appreciate all these things. Counseling is a good excuse to really wave the flag of your appreciation but then you need to learn to raise the banner high and often outside of counseling as well.

3) Learn to ask for the things you need. Perhaps the greatest potential benefit of counseling to stop your divorce after cheating and save your marriage is that you'll learn to let your partner know what you need. You have to learn to ask for the things you want and need rather than blaming your partner for not telepathically recognizing your needs. All people do it to some degree and it's not fair to hold your spouse responsible for not doing something he or she has no idea you want.q
