How to Troubleshoot an Adobe Acrobat Download Issue

    • 1). Start the download and watch the progress bar as it downloads. If a window appears during this process stating that you already have a more up-to-date version of Adobe Acrobat you don't need to download this software because you already have a more advanced version.

    • 2). Turn off your virus software when attempting to download the program. Your virus software may think the download is a virus and stop it from completing. Once you have finished with the download you can reactivate the virus protection.

    • 3). Click the small text bar that drops down from the Internet browser when attempting to download the software (if a text bar does appear). Select "Allow Download from this site" and then click to download Acrobat again.

    • 4). Check how much hard drive space you have available on the computer. Click "Start," "My Computer," (or "Computer") and right-click the "C:" drive icon. If you have only a few hundred megabytes available you need to make room on your computer by deleting some programs and/or files.
