    • 1). Measure the length of your head from the top of one ear and over the top of your head to the top of the opposite ear with a tape measure. Draw two points this length apart on black or gray card stock paper.

    • 2). Measure the height of your head from the top of your ear to the top of your head. Draw a point in the center of the two length points to indicate this height as the crown of the arch.

    • 3). Draw an arch that rises and extends from one length point upward through the crown point and connects to the other length point. Draw an interior arch about 1/2 inch under the outer arch that is parallel to the outer arch. Draw a straight line on both sides to connect the interior and exterior arches. Cut out the arch to create the headband part of the headphones.

    • 4). Trace a circular object such as the bottom of a soup can twice on the black card stock. Cut the circles out. Glue the circles onto the exterior bottoms of the arch to create headphone earpads.

    • 5). Draw a skinny block letter “Y” that is in scale with the size of the paper headphones and is wide enough to span the width of your neck and long enough to reach your waist area. Cut out the “Y.” Glue the top ends of the “Y” to the bottom back side of the earpads to represent the headphone cords.
