    • 1). Lay the first sheet of Corian and secure it with silicone caulk.

    • 2). Clean the edges of both Corian pieces carefully with denatured alcohol. Any dust or debris could weaken the seam or cause minor imperfections in the finished product.

    • 3). Apply a thick bead of tinted epoxy to the seam support strip at the end of the first sheet, using a caulk gun.

    • 4). Lay the second sheet of Corian, placing the edge firmly on the seam support strip and as close as possible to the edge of the first sheet.

    • 5). Attach scrap pieces of Corian to each sheet near the seam, using a hot-glue gun. This forms a pair of clamp support points.

    • 6). Attach clamps to the clamp support points and draw the Corian sheets together as tightly as possible. The epoxy will bubble out of the seam. Do not wipe off the excess, as this can weaken the adhesive properties of the epoxy.

    • 7). Allow the epoxy to fully cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions and remove the clamps.

    • 8). Pull off the clamp support points. Use warm water to dissolve any remaining hot glue.

    • 9). Remove excess epoxy, using a power sander. Work in three stages, beginning with 100-grit sandpaper, moving on to 150 grit and finishing with 220-grit sandpaper.

Sand the completed countertop with 220-grit sandpaper to create sheen and ensure an even finish along the seams.
