How to Cut Die Cut Papers With Cricut
- 1). Load the cartridge into the front of the machine and place the corresponding key overlay over the keypad on the machine. Turn your machine on.
- 2). Peel the clear plastic off the top of your Cricut cutting mat. Line up your paper at the bottom left corner of the mat and rub the paper onto the mat to secure it in place.
- 3). Place the mat at the opening of the machine with the arrow at the top of the mat pointing to the opening of the machine. Press the "Load Paper" button.
- 4). Select the image that you would like to cut from the paper.
- 5). Adjust your dial size to the size that you would like to cut the image.
- 6). Set your blade depth between 1 and 3 for lightweight papers such as printer paper or construction paper.
- 7). Set your machine's speed higher for less detailed cuts on heavier paper. Set your machine's speed slower for cuts made with lightweight paper or for cuts that are detailed.
- 8). Set your machine's pressure higher for heavier papers and lower for lightweight papers.
- 9). Press the "Cut" button and wait for the machine to finish cutting the design.

Press the "Unload Paper" button and peel your design from the cutting mat.
