Sept. 3, Silent Disco, 6 pm. Put on earphones, listen to a deejay, and dance under the stars. Headphones are free, but a credit card or ID must be used as collateral to borrow them.

Sept. 3, Fresh Pond Road Festival, until Sept. 6. Countless shopping, eating, and entertainment opportunities on four consecutive nights on a five-block stretch of Fresh Pond Road between Menahan and Woodbine streets in Ridgewood.
