Romans 12:11
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

'Zeal' is defined (Wiktionary) as 'the fervor or tireless devotion for a person, cause, or ideal and determination in its furtherance; diligent enthusiasm; powerful interest.' Another word having a similar meaning is
'passion'.

Galatians 4:18
It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always and not just when I am with you.

Zeal is fine or 'cool' when its purpose is good.
The good purpose for anyone's zeal is God and His purposes!
God's purposes make up divine destiny.
This kind of zeal becomes possible when one gets into an intimate and personal relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Numbers 25:11, 13
"Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites; for he was as zealous as I am for my honor among them, so that in my zeal I did not put an end to them.
He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood, because he was zealous for the honor of his God and made atonement for the Israelites."

Through this relationship one gets the opportunity to have and display zeal just like God does!

2 Kings 19:31
For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

God's zeal performs His purposes therefore anyone who demonstrates God-like zeal is promoting the performance of His purposes.

Psalm 69:9
for zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.

John 2:17
His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me."

The Lord Jesus Christ is a perfect example of this kind of zeal.

Proverbs 19:2
It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.

Romans 10:2
For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.

Philippians 3:6
as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless.

On the other hand, zeal is not good when it is without (correct and vital) knowledge.
Such zeal even works against God's purposes!!!

Correct and vital knowledge comes from God by revelation of the Spirit (1 Cor.2:9-10)!!!
Ignoring and rejecting such knowledge quenches such divine zeal thereby frustrating divine destiny!
On the other hand, accepting, understanding and using such knowledge releases such zeal thereby promoting divine destiny!

2 Kings 10:16
Jehu said, "Come with me and see my zeal for the LORD." Then he had him ride along in his chariot.

The password for fulfilling divine destiny is 'XYZ' which stands for 'eXpress Your Zeal!'
