If you want to learn more about starting an acne prevention diet, then you should read this article.
While doctors have believed for many years that there is no correlation between acne and your diet, new scientific research has changed their opinion, and no doctor who is informed about the latest findings has any doubts about the fact that diet is one of the most important factors of acne.
But it is not always what you think that causes acne to worsen.
Chocolate for example is something that is widely believed to cause or worsen acne - but there is no hard science that confirms this common belief.
There was a study at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine that showed that people who eat excessive amounts of chocolate did not have a higher risk or likelihood of acne than those who don't each chocolate.
On the other hand, processed foods do seem to cause and worsen acne.
So while chocolate itself isn't bad, a chocolate bar might very well be bad for acne sufferers - but not because of the chocolate itself, but because of all the other chemical ingredients that are inside that bar.
Milk also seems to be bad for your skin if you have acne problems.
It is true that there are many benefits to drinking milk, but for acne sufferers, these benefits might just not be worth the trouble.
One of the reasons is that drinking milk or eating cheese can throw your hormones off balance.
Cows are fed all kinds of growth hormones nowadays, and there are residues of these hormones in cow milk.
What's more - even natural cow milk is made to help grow a little calf into a big cow in a very short amount of time.
There are hormones inside natural milk that cause that growth, and these hormones are not good for humans.
Starting an acne prevention diet involves learning a bit about what exactly causes acne and freeing your mind from the myths that exist around this topic - but it is well worth it, as it is the best way to permanently cure pimples.
