    • 1). Click on the "Window" menu at the top and select the "Metadata" window. It will pop up in the workspace.

    • 2). Click once on the media clip for which you want to convert the speech to text. The most successful clips to convert feature clear dialogue, minimal background noise and microphone recordings.

    • 3). Scroll down in the "Metadata" window and click on the "Analyze Speech" icon. A list of options will pop up on the screen.

    • 4). Set the language for the speech. If the media features multiple languages, you have to analyze the speech separately each time for each separate language. The default language is set to English.

    • 5). Set the quality options for the conversion. If you want a basic speech summary, use low quality. If you want a word-for-word accuracy, choose the highest quality. The higher the quality, the longer the transition rendering will take.

    • 6). Click "OK" to start the speech-to-text analysis. Once complete, a "Speech Analysis" window pops up on the screen with the converted text.

    • 7). Hold "CTRL" and press "S" to save the project and automatically save the converted text.
