Creating an Optional Nap Policy at Work

Sleep is incredibly important for the well-being of humans.
 However, in today's busy society, most people don't get enough sleep.
 Young adults who work long hours barely get any sleep at night, causing them to be exhausted throughout the whole week.
 As employees, this is not optimal for their employers and there should be something done about this problem.
Being able to take a nap during the day, say in the middle of the afternoon, would make a lot more people very productive.
 They would feel refreshed and be able to work a lot more effectively, since they'd be able to concentrate better.
 Giving them the option of taking a half hour nap and staying an extra half hour at work or not would be great for morale as well.
 Not everyone would choose to take a nap, but if the option were there, the employees would appreciate it.
In New York City, sleep cafés have popped up near commercial office buildings, allowing people to take brief naps during their lunch breaks in a comfortable setting.
 This concept is a great idea since most offices do not provide any way for people to take naps there.
 However, if employees do not have this option to go to one of these locations, they should be able to close their eyes for a bit and nod off.
  The nap policy at work concept has been talked about a lot, but most companies still don't take the benefits of a mid-day nap seriously.
 If you are an employer and notice that your employees sometimes look over-tired, do yourself a favor and experiment with a limited nap option if any people are interested.
 You might be surprised at what you see.
