    • 1). Remove all the parts to the Adirondack chair, lay them out and check for damaged or missing items. Ensure that you have the following parts: one seat section, one back section, two front legs with brackets mounted, two back section angle supports and two arms with countersink holes drilled. Also ensure that you have all the correct pieces in the hardware kit, which include 14 wood screws, ten 55 mm bolts with washers and nuts and two 65 mm bolts with washers and nuts.

    • 2). Lay the seat on a flat, dry surface.

    • 3). Attach the front legs to the seat. First, grab the right front leg and position it over the pre-drilled holes on the right side of the seat; make sure that the mounted brackets on the leg are facing away from the seat. Next, insert a 55 mm bolt from the outside of the leg and through the seat section, then slide a washer and nut onto the end of the bolt. Place a pair of pliers onto the nut and grasp firmly to keep it in the correct position; place a flat-head screwdriver on the bolt with the other hand. Keep the bolt steady with the screwdriver and use the other hand to turn the pliers clockwise to tighten the bolt. Repeat this process to attach the left front leg.

    • 4). Attach both back supports to the inner sides of the seat. First, grab one of the back supports and hold it upright with the holes at the bottom. Next, position the support on the inner side of the seat over the pre-drilled holes at the back. Insert a 55 mm bolt from the outside of the seat and through the back support, then slide a washer and nut onto the end of the bolt. Tighten the bolt as in Step 3.

    • 5). Attach both of the arms to the front legs and back supports. First, grab the right arm and position it on the right side of the chair so that the large, curved end is over the right leg, and the shorter end is fitted to the back support. Next, align the two holes under the front of the arm with the two holes located at the top of the right mounted bracket. Then, insert a wooden screw through the top side of the bracket and into the right arm. Use a flat-head screwdriver to tighten the screw, then insert the other screw and tighten. Align the hole located on the side of the back arm with the pre-drilled hole of the back support. Insert a 65 mm bolt into the hole from the outside of the arm and through the back support, then slide a washer and nut onto the end of the bolt. Tighten the bolt as instructed in Step 3. Repeat these steps for the left arm.

    • 6). Attach the back to the seat and the back supports. First, grab the back section and hold it upright with the largest curved part at the top. Next, place the back section in the notched areas on the seat section, just past the last curved seat slat. Align the holes located at the outer, bottom part of the back section with the notched holes at the back of the seat. Then, insert a wooden screw through the outer, bottom part of the back and into the seat. Use the screwdriver to tighten the screws, then insert the other screws into the rest of the pre-drilled holes and tighten them. Align the holes at the outer top of the back section with the holes at the top of each back support. Insert a screw through the outer top of the back section and into the back support. Use a screwdriver to tighten the screw, then repeat this for the rest of the pre-drilled holes.

    • 7). Attach the front support to the front legs. Grab the front support piece and position it vertically over the bottom of the two front legs. Align the holes on each side of the support with the holes on each leg. Insert a screw into the hole through the support and into the leg. Use a screwdriver to tighten the screw, then insert the other three screws and tighten them.

    • 8). Check the alignment of all parts and check to ensure all screws and bolts are tight.
