    No Power

    • 1). Remove the power cable from the back of the LCD display. Plug it back in and make sure that it is secure.

    • 2). Unplug the power cord from the outlet or surge protector. Plug a lamp, or other electronic device that you know is working, into the outlet to make sure that it is supplying power.

    • 3). Remove any switches or extensions from the power cord and plug the cord back into the good outlet.

    • 4). Press the power button on the front of the LCD display. The light on the front of the monitor should come on. If the light does not come on, contact your manufacturer to have your device serviced.

    No Picture

    • 1). Detach and reattach the cable connecting the source device and the LCD display. Make sure that all cables are secure. Remove any switches or cable extensions before plugging back in the cables.

    • 2). Press the "Menu" button on either the remote or the LCD display's control panel. If no menu shows up on the screen, you should contact the manufacturer to have the device serviced.

    • 3). Press the "Input" or "Source" button on the LCD display's control panel or remote control in order to change the input device, like your cable box, DVD player or computer. If the picture comes up when selecting a different input device then the problem is with your device and not the LCD display.

    • 4). Replace the cable running from the input device to the LCD display. If the LCD display still has a blank screen, but is powered on, you will need to contact your manufacturer to have the device serviced.

    Poor picture quality

    • 1). Detach and reattach your connection cable between the LCD display and your input device. Make sure it is secure and clear of dust and debris.

    • 2). Examine the connection cable to check for any damage that could cause a loss of signal. Replace any cables that are bent or pinched as well as any cables that are longer than 10 feet. Remove any switches or cable extensions from the connection cable.

    • 3). Return the settings on the LCD display to the factory defaults. This process will vary by manufacturer, but the manufacturer's website or in the manual that came with your LCD display should have instructions for this process.

    • 4). Press the "Input" or "Source" button on the LCD display control panel or remote control to change the input source device. If the picture looks good on another device, then the problem is most likely with that input source or cable and not the LCD display.

    • 5). Contact your LCD display's manufacturer to begin the process of having your LCD display serviced.
