How to Convert an MP3 to ATRAC3 Audio Compression for Eclipse Radio
- 1). Download an ATRAC3 conversion software for your computer. Some of the most popular conversion programs include freeware such as Koyote Free MP3 WMA Converter or paid programs such as Easy CD-DA Extractor or WMAConvert (see Resources). Each program functions in a similarly intuitive way.
- 2). Install and run the program and then locate and select the folder of MP3s you wish to convert.
- 3). Scroll through the software's output options until you locate the ATRAC3 abbreviated format AA3 and select it. You may have to go to the "Settings" section of your conversion software to do so.
- 4). Designate a specific folder where the converted files will be stored.
- 5). Click "File Convert" and the MP3s should then be converted over to ATRAC3 format and placed in the folder you designated in Step 4. This task should be completed fairly quickly, but may vary depending on the number of files you selected to convert and the speed of your computer.
- 6). Copy the files to a CD or save your newly converted ATRAC3 files to a memory stick (depending on what model of Eclipse you have). Turn on your Eclipse car radio. Insert the CD or memory stick and enjoy hours of music.
