    • 1). Copy an .avi file to whatever specific memory card your digital camera uses: SD, MicroSD, Memory Stick. Many digital cameras allow you to watch an .avi or .mov video file without any extra effort, although you may need to use a software program to convert a movie file to one of these formats.

    • 2). Install a software program that rips the contents of your DVD. What ripping essentially does is convert the signals on the DVD into a usable file that can be transferred to your memory card. In this way, you can actually watch the contents of your favorite DVDs on your digital camera.

    • 3). Convert .avi, .mov, .wmv and other video files into a type of movie file that is encoded properly for playback on a digital camera. The problem with watching movie files on many digital cameras that work perfectly fine on other devices is that the cameras have a proprietary encoding system that does not recognize those standard movie files. A software program like Digital Camera Media Studio is ideal for overriding the encoding problems associated with Sony and Casio brand digital cameras.

    • 4). Connect the cable that comes with the digital camera that allows it to be connected to a TV. This connection is typically used to allow users to view the digital photos on a much larger screen, but if you can watch a movie on the digital camera, you can in most cases now watch movies on the TV as well.
