Keeping the Romance Alive With Date Nights
One of the ways to keep the romance alive in your marriage is through date nights.
Set aside a time weekly, bi-weekly, monthly (or whatever frequency that suits you) just for you and your spouse.
If at all possible, this time should only be for the two of you without any interruptions! A time for enjoying each other's company and rekindling the flame in your marriage.
Even after the wedding it is important to continue to date your spouse.
You don't always need a lot of money to have a romantic night with your spouse...
here are some date night ideas: It doesn't always have to be on a weekend.
If you're like us our weekends are usually really busy with church, house cleaning, grocery shopping, going to our kids' games, etc.
So, it's more ideal to have our time on a Tuesday or Thursday night.
Movie night at home - rent one of your favorite movies.
For instance, a movie that you both loved and enjoyed watching when you were dating...
this will bring back great memories for you and also ignite and spark a new flame.
Enjoy a meal that you've both cooked together, set up a picnic in the living room with candlelight, and soft music.
Game night - if you like playing board games or card games, break out the Uno Cards or a deck of cards and play spades.
Throw in a few snacks, soft drinks, and have fun! Take a day off work together - yep you deserve it, especially if you rarely call in sick! After the kids are gone to school enjoy breakfast in bed, pleasant conversation while relaxing under the covers, and make love the way you like it without any interruptions.
