Free Standing Lace (FSL)

• Free standing lace, also known as FSL, is a machine embroidery process that embroiders a fine lace onto a water-soluble stabilizer. Once the embroidery is finished, you soak the embroidery design in a warm water solution. The stabilizer dissolves, leaving behind only the lace embroidery. FSL embroidery is common on Christmas tree decorations, table cloths and bridal reception decor.

• Home decor projects can benefit from an embroidery machine. The diversity of machine embroidery allows you to choose from extra small to very large designs and place them exactly where you want them to go. You can embroider the corner of a towel or the scallop of a curtain, monogram bathroom or kitchen towels with your family's name, or create a line of infant diapers with customized baby decals.
