The new Fall television season is here and as usual there's a lot of new shows and a lot of returning favorites.
Instead of covering every single network, let's just take a look at what ABC has to offer this Fall.
These are my own personal picks, not an overview of everything on ABC television.
But hopefully you can find a few suggestions to add to your DVR subscriptions for the new season.
Some Favorite Returning ABC Shows Let's start with what shows are back and still going strong! Personally, I don't watch any reality programming, so it is scripted dramas all the way.
ABC is the home of a few of my medical favorites.
That's Private Practice and, of course, the show it spun off from, Grey's Anatomy.
Things are heating up on both shows, but my big concern is Violet on Private Practice.
From the previews, it sounds like her baby has gone missing.
Other ABC returning shows that are worth watching are Ugly Betty and Castle.
Castle was one of my favorites of the new batch of shows last season and I'm glad it is back for this one.
If you aren't watching, check it out.
It's lots of fun.
What show isn't on this list? That would be Lost.
Sadly, Lost isn't back until February 2010.
I hate waiting so long, but we don't have much choice.
Best New ABC Shows to Watch There's only a couple of new shows on ABC this Fall that have me setting up TiVo season passes.
They are Flash Forward and Eastwick.
Both have already aired their pilot episodes.
Eastwick, as far as I'm concerned, is already a solid hit.
It has an engaging cast and the movie and book it is based on are terrific.
I also love Paul Gross.
Then there is Flash Forward.
Starring Joseph Fiennes, this show looks like it has a lot of potential, but the pilot was not as tight as I'd hoped.
I expect great things from it though.
Who knows, it could even be a great replacement for Lost when that finishes its final season next year.
It certainly has that element of mystery that hooks viewers.
