How to Open Tpx Files
- 1). Download the XnView graphic software from xnview.com. The program is free and supports a wide range of graphic design formats. As of January 2010, XnView supports approximately 400 graphic file formats, including .tpx files. Files are easily imported and viewed or exported as a more ubiquitous format. Multiple features enable you to manipulate and edit .tpx files for most tasks.
- 2). Double click the downloaded file to begin installation of the XnView application. The install process is quick and easy. Follow the onscreen instructions and, if desired, select the options for creating a shortcut to the application on the computer's main Desktop screen. An XnView shortcut can also be created in the Quick Launch section of the Windows taskbar by selecting the appropriate checkbox during installation.
- 3). Open XnView. The program will present a media content library and automatically start indexing photo and video files on your computer system.
- 4). From the "File" menu, click the "Open" command. Browse to the location of your .tpx file and open it. The contents of the .tpx file will display.
- 5). If desired, export the .tpx file in another graphic format for use with other programs. This is necessary if you wish to share the file with users who do not have XnView. From the "Tools" menu, choose the "Export" option. Enter the desired name of the file and the preferred file type and click Export. XnView can export to approximately 50 common graphic file formats.
