If you are a grandparent you need to ask yourself if you really understand the importance of spending time with them.
Your grandchildren are only little once and the best time to bond with them is while they are small.

I was listening to a talk show the other day and a grandmother was saying how much she loved her grandchildren and they ask her if she loved her children or grandchildren more.
(which I believe to be something unfair to ask anyone) She answered the way I would have and said that she didn't love either anymore than the other but grandchildren are just different because we enjoy them in a different way.
We understand more at this time in our lives and are a lot more laid back.

I want to talk with you about the things that I see as the important things that happen as the result of spending time with our grandchildren Teaching them about our outlook on quality time It seems to me that parents today are so busy that they think they are spending quality time with their children when it seems to me that they are just buying their time.
By this I mean that when I hear about parents saying they spent quality time with their children they seem to associate it with buying them something or taking them on a trip or something that cost money when I think the best gift is, just giving them our time.
Time is a very special gift that we have to give someone because it's the most precious thing we own, it's the one thing we can't buy.
It's special and it's in limited supply so spend yours wisely.
Give of yourself and pass that quality along to your grandchildren so they will pass it along to their children.
We need to slow down and live again.
We have things to share with them We have things to share with our grandchildren that can only come from us,things that may go unlearned if we don't share with them while we have time.
There's that word again,time and as grandparents we are naturally older at this point so time is something we have less of than our children and grandchildren.
Share with them about their great grandparents and their parents so they can understand where they came from and what has helped mold their lives as they are today.
They have things to share with us Being a grandparent is an is honor.
These little children look up to us in a way no one else does.
They think we are special just like we do them.
They can share with us the joy of youth again and get us to do things that will help keep us young so enjoy every minute.
