Pool Theme Party
If you are thinking of throwing a pool theme party then you should take a look at the following ideas and suggestions to provide you with motivation.
1.
Decide early on if you are going to have any sub-theme.
Perhaps the Little Mermaid, pirates, surfing or it could maybe even be themed around the beach.
Whichever you go for, make sure you are consistent with your theme and that you do not mix it in with any others.
2.
You do not need to own a pool to throw a pool theme party.
Do any of your friends own a pool that you could use? If not then consider the local sports centre! Depending on whether the pool is in or out doors, you can tailor your party accordingly.
3.
Remember health and safety! Depending on the size of your gathering, i strongly suggest you think about hiring a life guard! You could approach one at the local sports centre and offer to employ him on a private basis for very cheap.
4.
As with all parties, invitations are very important and can get your guests in the mood early on! Go for a cut out of flip flops, sea shells, dolphins, sharks or surf boards.
5.
For the more adventurous party hosts, you could stuff your invitations inside actual sea shells and hand them out to your guests! They will be very impressed! 6.
Some fun games you could play could be tag.
Trying to run in water is great exercise and extremely fun! You should set up some Basketball hoops and a Volleyball net.
Do not forget the large beach balls.
7.
The ideal food to serve at a pool party would be sea food of course, but a barbecue will go down incredibly well! 8.
Remember to drink responsibly.
Water and alcohol do not mix.
