Fresh Look with Spring Colors
Spring colors are bright and cheerful, and color tones that seem to shift toward light. For this season, pinks, greens, lilacs and yellows dominate in home fashions just as they do in nature. The key is to look for tints rather than shades of your favorite colors. Tints have more white mixed into a color, producing pastels.
Let us take a look at some colors that work especially to help update your home for spring.
1. Green
Green is probably the first color we think of when it comes to spring, or in fact when we think of nature.
Green occupies a place midway between warm and cool on the color wheel with blue on one side and yellow on the other. Emerald Green was the Color of the Year in 2013.
Yellow greens, blue greens, deep greens all are good for spring decor. Green can be use many different ways, ranging from painting walls, or adding rugs and pillows, to bringing in plants. 2. Pink
The mood you create with pink depends on the kind of pink you choose. A hot, bright pink is closer to red in the way it looks and also shares the same color attributes of passion, flirtiness, and edginess. A cooler, softer pink is however delicate, dreamy and romantic. It softens everything around it.

3. Yellow
Yellow is a warm color, the color of sunshine and optimism. In springtime, you see this color everywhere. Hillsides are dotted with yellow.
There are warm bold yellows, but you also have soft yellows. Some yellows tend to be greenish while others lean towards orange. Citron yellow was one of the most popular colors for 2012.

4. Lilac
Lilac belongs to the purple family, but is softer color by comparison. It is a can be cool or warm, depending on whether it has more red or blue in its make-up. Because of that, there is a subtle range of variations within the color lilac.
Lilac also belongs to the 2014 Color of the Year Radiant Orchid family. You are bound to find many home accents in this color.

5. Orange

6. Turquoise
Turquoise is a blue green color that has a cool and calming effect. Yet it is not a color that will put you to sleep.
Turquoise is great as an accent color. It can look very crisp with white, lend excitement to warm colors and make cool colors more interesting. You can use it in frames for mirrors, wall art, tableware and accent furniture.
