How to Sync an iPhone After a PC Crash
- 1). Open iTunes.
- 2). Connect the iPhone to the computer using the USB cable.
- 3). Select the iPhone within iTunes and click "Sync." Your iPhone will sync with your iTunes library as normal.
- 1). Restore your data to your computer from a backup file using the Windows Backup and Restore Center within the Control Panel. You only need to restore data if you've lost all of it in the crash.
- 2). Open iTunes. You may need to reinstall iTunes; if so, download the installer from Apple's iTunes website and follow the instructions to restore it to your computer.
- 3). Select "Store," then "Authorize Computer." Enter your iTunes account details such as your Apple ID.
- 4). Right-click the iPhone within iTunes and select "Transfer Purchases" to transfer all applications and purchased media to your "new" iTunes library.
- 5). Select the "Info" tab. Scroll down to "Advanced" and deselect all options regarding replacing information on the iPhone with information on the computer. What this does is ensure that when you sync the phone, the contacts, email and calendars will remain.
- 6). Click "Sync" to sync the phone.
