Christmas - 10 Fun Ideas
In most homes across the country this Christmas mothers will be working hard to create the perfect Christmas for their families.
We all want to achieve the fairy tale Christmas we see in the movies and on Christmas cards.
So, after trimming the tree, buying and wrapping the presents, baking everyone's favourite desserts, decorating your home inside and out and preparing a delicious Christmas dinner why don't you relax and have some fun with your husband and the children.
Of course you can all play with the kids new toys, watch the old favourite movies on tv and eat candy canes and chocolates.
But lets try for a few more interesting and exciting ideas to make the Christmas Holidays that bit more special.
How about a sleigh ride, preferably behind horses but a snowmobile would do.
This is romantic for you and your partner and fun for the kids.
It also doesn't require a lot of energy on your part.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Remember sugar lumps or carrots for the horses, the kids will love feeding them and the horses are pretty keen on the idea too.
Build a snowman together, perhaps Santa Claus if you make him fat enough! Or be very adventurous and try snow sculpture, you may find you have a great talent! Go ice skating.
This is an old favourite and you may not make time anymore to join the kids and have some fun but it is great to go as a family especially if there is a great lake or pond near you.
If not just freeze a big area in the back yard, you can get the barbecue out too and do hamburgers and hot dogs as a change from all that turkey.
Find the largest hill in your area and try out the new toboggan.
Great stress buster if you scream all the way down.
No one will notice and you will feel great.
Sing Carols for those who might really appreciate them, perhaps the local seniors home.
Do this only if you have some ability otherwise it is cruelty to old folks.
Go horseback riding through a snowy wood.
This again is a romantic one for you and your partner but the kids will have fun too if they come along.
Make snow angels together.
Always fun especially for the youngest members of the family or the first timers.
Something they can do as well as everyone else.
Try skiing or snowboarding.
A good way to lose those Christmas pounds too.
Have a winter picnic on Boxing Day.
Best of all why not book Boxing Day lunch at a nice restaurant so Mom can relax and enjoy the meal and her families company.
Show how much you really do appreciate all her hard work to give you the best Christmas ever.
Whatever you and your family do this Christmas have a wonderful time together and enjoy each others company.
Happy Holidays!
