Other Things You Might Be Doing Wrong In Your Relationship
In my last article, I talked about five common mistakes you might be making with men. In this article, we continue with the other (very) common mistakes most women make with men. Well start with mistake number 6, and I hope you, my readers, would take into account the other five mistakes listed in the previous article.
6. Judging him too quickly.
People arent meant to be read so easily, whether theyre male or female. Men like to think of themselves as strong individuals, and as such they guard themselves from showing their true feelings or faults. Rejection hurts and no matter how strong a man is, he is likely to be reluctant to put himself in a position to be rejected.
Men usually express how they feel and what they think indirectly. Sometimes they use devices such as humor, sarcasm and cockiness to deliver their point. Paying attention to what he says, how he acts, and how he treats other people is a good start in this exercise and it keeps you from judging him too quickly. Be patient.
7. Having silver screen expectations.
Real-life relationships rarely turn out like those you see on the silver screen. Sometimes women think that having a man would make her happy, period. But in reality, when you get too dependent on him to make you happy, it might actually shut him out of your life, which you really dont want to happen.
But even when hes the kind of man who doesnt run off after all that, you will still lose. Such men arent that strong and nurturing as you might think.
Just take the relationship as it is and let it grow in its most natural way possible.
8. Trying to convince him otherwise.
To begin with, it's really close to impossible to try and convince a man to love you. I dont love you doesnt include a maybe, so if the guy isnt attracted to you, its a lost cause. Just think about it the other way around if there was a guy you disliked, and he tries to buy your affection with gifts and favors, would you love him back?
Apparently, some things go both ways. You cant force someone to like you, period.
9. Being completely clueless about what he wants.
When a guy goes out with you, he probably already has an idea of what he wants from you. While you can get a clue by listening to what he says, watching what he does is a far better option. After all, action speaks louder than words. Therefore, try not to resort to mindless flirting and talking because that wont really take you anywhere.
So whats the best way to read a guy?
10. Not asking around.
A man's inner psychology is complex, and trying to decode it is a complicated process. Understanding man requires constant observation, and it may even seem that there is an underlying psychology in understanding men. But it really is not that hard. Ask around, you may realize how much information you might get.
