Home Remedies For Arthritis Work!

103 44
In North America, arthritis is one of our main ailments and many people suffer incredible pain every day.
Often their doctor will give them arthritis medication and some of them prefer just over the counter medicines so that they can get relief.
However, some of these do have negative side effects and you might, for example, have stomach aches or headaches because of these, so pain relief will come at a price.
People under the care of a physician can explain this and then they are helped further.
However, home remedies for arthritis have been around for hundreds of years and that is often a testimony that they do work, or else no-one would have continued using them.
Here are just a few: Garlic Garlic can help reduce the swelling that arthritis is famous for.
Don't worry, you don't have to eat garlic, but you can! It is readily available in supplement form.
Potato Juice This is good to address the pain associated with the disease.
If you have a juicer, just juice raw potatoes but again, the juice is available at your health food store.
Rice Put rice in a cloth bag (you can even use a clean sock for this) and close or knot it to prevent the rice from escaping.
Put this in the microwave to heat for about a minute.
Now it's ready to use.
Just place it against the areas of your body that are experiencing swelling.
Hot Baths This is another easy way to reduce pain.
You can even buy hot packs so you don't even have to bathe.
Cinnamon and Honey Dissolve two spoons of honey and a small teaspoon of ground cinnamon in a cup of hot water and drink this - preferably daily.
Don't worry if it's too sweet, just reduce the honey portion and the same with the cinnamon which can be reduced to half a teaspoon if the taste is too strong.
You can also use this topically! For this mix one part honey to two parts warm water and add a small teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
It should form a paste which you can apply to painful areas and massage it in.
Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar Now this is a great way to get pain relief and is a very popular remedy.
Just put honey and the apple cider vinegar into warm water and drink it (again preferably daily).
If you are like me and have a hard time with the vinegar taste, just add some juice - cranberry is good.
Again you can use these ingredients to make a tincture to apply to areas that are swollen and painful.
These are just a few example of home remedies for arthritis.
They are readily available and are also inexpensive.
Please talk to your doctor if you are on medication as s/he will let you know if these remedies would have any adverse effects on the medicines you are presently taking.
