The Future is Now!

What if I could rub a lamp and show you your future? Just the idea makes you squirm, doesn't it? We don't want to see how some of our bad decisions turn out.
But we sure want to know how the things that really matter turn out.
We want to to see what our kids are doing, did we get a problem resolved, are we still healthy, are we still married, did we move into that dream house? You get the point.
Well, it just so happens you can see your future..
..
..
...
just close your eyes and imagine it..
..
..
..
..
and it WILL come true.
This visualization is so powerful on the brain, that the brain will compensate in positive, or negative, directions to accommodate your imagination.
If you want to double the rate of success, cut out pictures of you in your future, the way you want it to be, and look at them every day, several times a day.
This is called a dream board.
Start speaking your goals out loud to yourself ( it is OK to talk to yourself!) and to your family and friends.
When talking to strangers, exaggerate your dreams even bigger.
Since strangers don't know you, they can only nod their head in agreement instead of shaking their head in disbelief.
We tend to have more credibility with strangers than with family and friends.
Remember how the Scriptures say that a prophet is only unwelcome in his own home town? It applies here as well.
Family and friends know you too well.
They know your vices and weaknesses.
They have watched you grow up and if you struggled at all, they will remember that and it will become their point of reference of you.
Now, if you are going to talk of your big dreams, why not start living them out in small ways.
Act the part and you will become it.
You want to be a leader, start leading something.
You want to be rich, dress the part.
Don't go into debt doing this, though.
Shop at thrift stores near a wealthy neighborhood.
Rich people are always getting rid of really nice clothes.
You will be amazed at what you find.
So far we talked about changing things on the outside.
But in order for real dynamic life altering change to occur, you have to change on the inside.
You have to build your character and personality through personal development.
There are so many success coaches and personal development trainers available through the internet.
Many offer free training via telephone, computer, or cds.
They are paying back to newbies what they have finally achieved: success! Just being exposed to successful people has the effect of rubbing off on each person they come into contact with.
George Washington said it best as "you are known by the company you keep.
" So..
..
..
..
..
hang around the successful people.
Go to meetings and glean ideas from the financially free folks.
Find out what your rich friends did to become wealthy.
One aspect of personal development is reading good books and/or listening to tapes.
You need to reach all of your senses in order for this personal development to make the winning touchdown in your life.
You need to see it, smell it, taste it, hear it, and touch it.
Your dream board allows you to see your future.
Do you like the smell of a new car? I know there is a can of spray by that very name! Do you like certain foods that you normally cannot afford? Get a sample and put it on a fine china plate.
Savor the taste as you close your eyes picturing yourself in the fanciest restaurant you know.
Listening to personal development tapes will reinforce through your ears what you are dreaming of between your ears!!! As for "touching" your future success, give yourself a treat and walk through the Mercedes car dealership.
Run your hands over the fine leather interior.
Do you want an expensive linen suit or a fancy new dress? Try one on and have a picture taken of you in it.
Put that picture on your dream board, on your refrigerator, on the visor in your car.
Through all this change and development you undergo, it is critical that you remain humble as you work to reach your goal.
Being thankful to the people who journeyed with you on the road to financial freedom and success will help you remain humble.
Take care of your people.
There is no letter 'I' in the word 'team'.
Be grateful to your team who helped you achieve your success and not only will you have the success you dreamed of, you will have their respect and admiration, as well.
