You have an odd sock with no mate.
How are these related? Craft a Bean Bag bear and you will find out.
* Sock (Any color or Size You Desire) * Dried Beans or Rice * Narrow ribbon or yarn * Felt * Wiggle Eyes * Craft Glue * Scissors Fill the sock about 3/4 full of beans or rice.
Cut a piece of narrow ribbon or yarn and tie the sock about 1" above the rice, leaving a little slack.
Cut off any extra sock (remember to save it we'll use it in a later craft project).
Divide filled sock almost in half.
The toe section of the sock to be a little smaller as this will be the bean bag bear's head.
Tie a piece of narrow ribbon or yarn tightly around the sock where it is divided.
Use felt to cut out arms, legs, and ears.
You can use brown pom poms for the cheeks, if you desire.
Glue these into place.
Also glue on the wiggle eyes.
Add any embellishments you desire.
Remember this finished bear is for an older child not the toddler that still puts objects in his mouth! Tip: Dye the sock before you start.
For an aged look, soak in brewed tea or coffee.
Or use a commercial dye or even tie dye for a different look.
A friend of mine made a basket full of green ones one St.
Patrick's Day.
They were adorable! They had hats and shamrocks, too!
