Getting the Right Sized Appliance For Your Small Kitchen

The kitchen is a commonly used room in the house, not just for cooking dinner but it can be a hangout spot or a place to do your clothes washing too but whilst kitchens can be a standout feature in some homes smaller properties such as terraced homes or flats can have a limited amount of space to work with and in many cases extending or knocking through a dividing wall is not feasible.
It is in these kitchens you need to be clever and make the most of the space you have, this may mean cutting down on the amount of clutter that you have in your kitchen or not buying certain products such as dishwashers where you could just use the sink to wash up in.
However this means we'll often be taking a step backwards as many people may be used to using these time saving devices and have better things to do than dedicate time to tidying up in the kitchen.
This is why there are many smaller, space-saving appliances that can fit into the smallest of kitchens.
Appliances like microwave ovens are already available in smaller varieties to help save space especially as they won't usually be packed away into a cupboard when they're not being used.
Dishwashers can come in many smaller varieties whether they are just narrower than regular models or smaller counter top varieties are able to handle just a few plates and cutlery.
Obviously not ideal for a larger family group but for a single person abode it is ideal as there won't be as much that needs washing at any particular time.
Another appliance that can be shrunken down to deal with one or two person's worth of washing is a washing machine.
Washing machines come in a variety of different drum sizes which means that you don't need masses of space to be able to house a washing machine.
In most cases washing machines can be hidden behind cupboard doors or built into your worktops so you don't have to worry about them being in the way.
There are other ways to cut down on space taken up by appliances such as fridges with built in freezer compartments if you don't require much freezer space.
Not only are you saving space but you are also saving money on having to power a separate appliance which could cut down on your electricity bill as a bonus!
