Why Should Rich People Pay a Higher Percentage In Taxes Than Anyone Else?
The Grand Bargain of 2012, the Obama Press Corp is already calling it - the negotiation with the Republican house speaker to settle their differences and come up with the needed budget cuts to run the Federal Government.
No longer can President Obama blame President Bush for the economy.
The Obama Administration has failed to bring the jobs promised or balance the budget, instead they've spent over a trillion dollars in deficit each and every years since they've been in office; $5 trillion in total added to the National Debt.
Okay, let's talk.
President Obama has stated that he is the champion of the Middle Class, and he wants to raise taxes on the rich to help the Federal Government live within its means.
Still, the reality is that there are not enough rich people on the entire planet to tax to balance a trillion dollar US deficit each year.
Even if the rich (minority) are asked (commanded) to pay higher taxes, it will do little to change the economic reality or the spend thrift ways of the Obama Administration.
Further, I'd like to discuss fairness, because President Obama often talks about what is fair when it comes to taxes in America.
You see, the President believes in redistribution of wealth and believes that the wealthy got rich because we live in a wealthy nation and since they've benefitted the most, they should pay the most in taxes.
On the surface this might seem fair but it is completely flawed logic.
The fairest thing would be a flat-tax where "everyone" paid at the same rate regardless of their income.
If we were to have a staggered tax percentage rate as we do now, actually the fairer thing to do would be for low-income users to pay more as a percentage because they soak up the most government services.
Indeed, it is interesting to me that a nation who always claims to move to protect minorities would so quickly move to tax them at a higher rate.
Now then, why does the government need more money to operate? Simple, because the Obama Administration needs the money to appease the masses so it can keep buying more votes to continue this surge of socialism to occupy the White House, Legislative Branch, and Supreme Court.
Still, why should any American have to pay more taxes when the government is clearly just wasting all the money anyway.
Lastly, I'd like you to read an interesting article published in the New York Times on November 10, 2012 titled; "Higher Taxes Are to Start With Flip of a Calendar," by Catherine Rampell which stated; "More than a dozen tax cuts are set to expire Dec.
31 and a couple of new taxes are scheduled to start with the new year.
Combined, they would affect nearly 90 percent of taxpayers, from the very richest to the very poorest.
" Indeed, I'd like you to please consider all this, and consider what you've been told in the past by this president and his political operatives, and what is really fair, and what is clearly not.
