Introduction to Induction Technology
Induction cookers are widely been used cookware globally and are rapidly replacing the old and traditional methods of cooking which used to be electric heating or gas. The basic principle that involves here is transfer of heat from coil of heater to bottom of the cookware through the phenomenon called Eddy Currents. This helps to transfer heat only to contacted area and thus saves lot of heat and electricity that is wasted in other cooking methods.

Before Starting Induction Cooker
Check if the voltage indicated on the induction cooker is same and corresponding to the supplied voltage
The cooker should be connected only to earthed wall socket
The cooking plate should be clean and dry before using
Do not use bare aluminium as it can risk electric shock and short circuit
Keep flammable materials and liquids away from induction cooker
Cookware to Use
The cookware bottom should be made up of iron or magnetic stainless steel
The shape of the bottom should be flat
The preferable shape should be circle of diameter ranging from 12 cm to 25 cm
Cookware like stainless steel pot, enamel stainless steel kettle, iron plate, iron oil fry or other stainless steel cookware or enamel cooking utensils can be used
Starting and Using Induction Cooker
Put the main plug and start the power button on socket as well as on induction cooker
Set the heating option to manual if you know about various heating temperatures or use default settings like slow cook, boil, hot-pot, deep fry etc. that are set on the cooker
Use the timer option to set time to switch off the power. You can also adjust cooking time using this option
Cleaning
Wait for few minutes to let the plate cool before you start cleaning
Never use scouring pads, abrasive agents, aggressive liquids, vinegar etc. for cleaning
When the plate gets cool, use damp cloth for cleaning and only if necessary, use mild cleaning agent
