How to String a Babolat Aero Blast
- 1). Set up the stringing machine and read the owner's manual to become familiar with the features and settings.
- 2). Mount and lock the racket onto the machine within the machine's frame clamps. If there is any movement of the racket, you risk breaking it during stringing.
- 3). Set the stringing tension between 55 and 62 pounds. This range has been determined by the manufacturer to be the best for this racket. If you set it higher, the racket can break during stringing.
- 4). Measure out 20 feet of string for the main or long strings. Take one end of the string and thread half of it from the first grommet hole left of center at the throat to the first hole left of center at the head of the racket. To keep this string in place, clamp it with the machine's clamp.
- 5). Thread the other end of the string from the first grommet hole right of center at the throat to the first hole right of center at the racket's head. With the machine, pull and tension this string and then clamp it..
- 6). Thread all the strings between corresponding grommet holes from the head to the throat or throat to the head. Skip the eighth holes off center on each half of the racket head. The last main strings are threaded through the ninth holes. Tension and clamp each string while alternating between the right and left halves of the racket's head. For example, thread, tension and clamp the string through the second hole left of center and then thread, tension and clamp the string through the second hole right of center.
- 7). Tie a knot at the 6th grommet hole off center on each side of the racket's throat to finish the main strings. Clip off the excess string.
- 8). Measure out 18 feet of string to use for the cross strings. Take one end of the string and tie a knot at the fifth grommet hole right of center at the racket's head. Thread the other end through the eighth hole right of center at the head. Weave it under and over the main strings across to the corresponding hole. Tension and clamp this string.
- 9). Thread, weave, tension and clamp all the cross strings. There are no skipped holes and there are a total of 19 cross strings. The last cross string goes through the eighth hole at the throat. Make sure to weave each string in an opposite pattern from the one before.
- 10
Check the strings for any mis-weaves before tying a final knot. If the pattern looks correct, make a knot at the 11th grommet hole at the throat and clip off the excess string.
