If you are located in a high humidity part of the country, then you are probably in need of a good dehumidifier.
If you think about it, the damage that is being done by the moisture is quite substantial.
Let's look at some of the areas where humidity really builds up.
The basement is probably the number one area.
Moisture will slowly eat away at your foundation.
I know that before I bought a dehumidifier, the concrete walls in my basement always were wet during the summer.
Over time, the concrete would have started to break down, thus causing some very expensive repairs.
Another spot is your crawl space.
Just think of how enclosed your crawl space is.
Once again, there is a high probability that moisture is just building up there.
Since it is an enclosed part of your home, just think of some of the insects that are just living there.
Moisture is really a breeding ground for dust mites.
If you have someone with asthma in your home, dust mites will really affect there breathing.
There are many quality dehumidifiers on the market.
 Just do your research.
One thing that you should keep in mind when shopping is to get one that is big enough to take care of your homes problem areas.
If you decide to save a buck or two and not get one that large enough to completely get rid of the moisture in the air, you are wasting money.
So do your homework, look for a good priced model that comes with a warranty and you shouldn't be disappointed.
