Lancashire Artist Steven P Smith follows in the Footsteps of Rolf Harris

An up and coming artist from Chorley in Lancashire, Steven P Smith, has been snapped up by the UK's largest fine art publisher, Demontfort Fine Art, who also represent international artists including Rolf Harris.

Airbrush artist Steven Smith has been selling his amazingly photo realistic paintings through selected galleries, initially through his local gallery, Hepplestone Fine Art near Chorley and subsequently through several other art galleries nationally.  The work was discovered by Demontfort Fine Art in galleries such as Hepplestone's which has opened the door for the Lancashire artist to the national art market.

Since graduating in Fine Art from Middlesbrough University in 1994, before which he studied A-level Art and then completed Art Foundation at Wigan and Leigh College, Steven Smith has gone from strength to strength in the art industry.

Post University, Steven P Smith became a successful Mural Artist working throughout the UK and Europe. Bespoke murals have been completed for the likes of: The National Army Museum, Tussauds Waxworks, Devere Hotels, Funky Budha Bar in Mayfair, as well as custom art on film and televsion sets, commercial vehicles and murals in private homes. Steven Smith's growing success has even led to recent portrait commisssions for boxer Amir Khan, Sam Allardyce and the footballer Kevin Davies.

Charity has also been something close to Steven Smith's heart with many paintings produced of sporting and entertainment icons, many of which have been auctioned for charitable benefits. Subjects of such paintings have included golfer Tiger Woods and singers Elton John and Freddie Mercury.

In recent years, Steven Smith's figurative paintings have been championed by galleries such as Hepplestone Fine Art which has helped turn the spotlight of the national publishing companies onto this exciting young artist.  Demontfort Fine Art who have signed up the exciting young artist represent established international artists including Rolf Harris, Fabian Perez and Todd White but also like to bring through new and exciting talent to create the starts of tomorrow.

At the time of the signing of the new contract, Steven P Smith's work has only been available in original painting form but the potential now exists for a vibrant collection of limited edition prints to complement the original artwork.

The signing of the new national publishing deal which began on 1st November 2012 has seen Steven Smith's work double in price overnight with the paintings now available to purchase through selected galleries throughout the length and breadth of the country.
