Dance Floor
Definition:
The "dance floor" in golf is the putting green. It's a slang term sometimes used by golfers for the green.
However, we recommend against any actual dancing while on the putting green - unless you have a chance to do a birdie dance, of course.
Examples: "Nice shot, Your ball is on the dance floor."
"I need to get this approach shot on the dance floor."
Variations on the "dance" theme are sometimes also heard.
"Am I on the green?" a golfer might ask. "Yes, you're dancing," a buddy might reply.
