Homemade Baseball Banners
- 1). Lay a white sheet of any size the long way on a flat surface such as your carpet or floor. Cut the sheet to approximately 30 inches wide; leave the length as is. Pull the sheet taut by anchoring it on all four sides with something heavy.
- 2). Tape stencils letter by letter over the banner to spell out the main message, such as “Let's Go Mets" or “We Love A-Rod."
- 3). Fill in the stencils by spray painting directly over them, painting them in with paint and a brush or coloring them in with markers. Choose colors that match your team’s colors. Let them dry.
- 4). Remove the stencils and set them aside. Draw a baseball on one side of the banner with markers; use a thin red marker to make the stitching along the ball.
- 5). Draw a bat on the other side of the banner. You can draw your favorite player’s team number alongside the bat if you wish.
- 6). Add extra pizazz to the banner so it catches the sun by dabbing dots of glue along the banner’s border, then shaking a canister of glitter over the dots. Let it dry, then shake the banner outside or over a garbage can; the loose glue will fall off while the glued glitter remains securely in place.
