Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios

• On select nights every September and October, Universal Studios is transformed from a family-friendly theme park into a terrifying labyrinth known as Halloween Horror Nights. The annual scare-fest features a new theme each year, but is typically based on the studio's most notorious horror flicks, such as the "Saw" or "Chucky" series. Halloween Horror Nights features eight haunted houses, six "scare zones" and a variety of live shows where visitors can expect the most nightmarish scenes from the movies to spring to life. They must also do their best to evade the blood-chilling army of maniacs, zombies and monsters who roam the park in search of new victims. Halloween Horror Nights is not recommended for children under 13.

Orlando Ghost Tours

• Orlando Ghost Tours offer walking tours through downtown Orlando and the Greenwood Cemetery. The tour does not involve actors, stunts or staged frights. The focus is on paranormal investigation, and participants can learn about the basics of parapsychology study and how to use electromagnetism and other technology and equipment to gauge paranormal activity. The downtown Greenwood Cemetery allows participants to explore paranormal events at various parts of the graveyard. Tours are held nightly.

Haunted Grimm House of Old Town

• The Haunted Grimm House is located in Old Town, Kissimmee, a suburb in the greater Orlando area. Visitors can tour the 1886 Victorian mansion with a terrifying reputation, caused by its murderous butler and unleashed, troubled spirits. The house promises thrills and chills as guests are allowed to explore 20 sinister rooms and countless creepy corridors at their own peril. Don't be surprised if embittered mummies and revenge-seeking corpses pop up in unexpected places. Open throughout the year.
